I mean, I know the wheels look messed up, but it looks like its on top of tires. For 1200, would you drive it/repair it? Or is this too big of a job?

Eh, the price is pretty fair-ish
Plus, you could either part it out and/or make an awesome resto-mod thing

That's what I'm thinking, however, I don't have a trailer, and I kinda want this to be running. I'd fix the engine right away, but with limited resources, I wouldn't be able to anything big. Basically, this would be a "hot rod improvise because broke" kinda thing. I just want it to run; thats a priority.

perth amboy eh? thats a whole 25 min from me
that car looks ROUGH, the fact that its a 6cyl and it was hit in the rear, well you'd have to be determined as hell to bring this back. It is a manual though so thats a plus.

Yeah, after looking at the rear, I don't think chopping it up and putting a piece of sheet metal, then welding it all together would be good. Especially with my welding skills.

if this was a boss 429 or a mach 1 or a shelby for this price...
well it'd be sold, I'd be over there right now giving the guy 1200 dollars, to hell with the state of emergency!
but since its just a I6 car..... ehhhhhhh

buy it for $1000. Get some real wheels then drive it how it is. It's been on for 2 months, so it's either gone or the guy would take $1000 right away. I would also keep the inline 6. Too many of them get thrown away in favor of v8 swaps. They get good millage and still have enough power to have a little bit of fun. And there is tons of space for turbos and

Hey, if it runs and drives for 30 miles, that's enough! If you can drive it home, it's OK if it stops once it gets there!

Problem is, would I be able to drive it back hope, and have it work for a little while?

1. Buy it
2. Leave the body as is, enjoy having a car you're not worried about the body work with.
3. Sort the brakes, steering, and basic suspension out.
4. Buy a Chinese turbo on Ebay, rig it up dirty
5. Hoon

I like how you think.

Have you ever watched Road Kill?

I haven't watched too much of them, but I love what these guys do. If drive had a series like this, that would be awesome too.

The three speed manual in that car is the worst transmission put in any Ford car that whole decade. They didn't start putting syncros in until 1967, and the cluster gear would destroy itself fairly often. The C4 Auto would be much better and last longer, and is available EVERYWHERE. Borg-Warner T-10 4-speed would be the next choice price-wise. The 4 speed toploaders are crazy expensive, and a 5 speed conversion is just as expensive as a V8 conversion.
<_< >_>
I may or may not have looked into this.

Don't let anyone tell you there is shame in the six. There most certainly is not!

I like how this car is a bit ''meh'' to americans, but people would pay big money for something like this in Europe.

I too preach the gospel of a Ford six.

I'd kill alot for this. Especially if it already had it's import fee paid to denmark :)
